This is a stray cat used to come our home so often. This is how he slept one night he decided to stay at our place (for a change).

Indian Pond Heron ( S: kana koka) at Lakeside-Kandy

He was enjoying the evening breeze at the lake bank and had just finished eating a large Dragon Fly.

Mother and Daughter (White Breasted Waterhen)

We were on the road around Kandy lake and saw the mom teaching her daugher how to get away from strangers ( like us ). They were walking along the lake shore, and as we were closing , the mother took the child to water and swam around 50m. Then landed again and hid under a bush.

This beautiful fellow we saw at Nuwara eliya Victoria park on a gloomy day. It was building its nest with its partner on a pinus tree. See the grace in its posture!
